  1. 1 - Can I start using my U.S. mailing address immediately after I sign up?

    Yes, you may start using our mail and package forwarding service as soon as you need to. We will immediately begin accepting all of your merchandise and, for Gold accounts, we will immediately accept all of your mail.

    Note that with Gold accounts, we cannot forward mail until we receive the USPS Form 1583 and at least one form of photo identification. United States federal law requires this.

    Please confirm that all of your shipments include your complete ForwardIt.com address including your unique suite number. Any packages shipped to us with an incomplete or incorrect address will cause delays and will be handled by our special handling department. Any packages needing to be reviewed for incomplete or incorrect addresses will be charged a $5 per package special handling fee.

  2. 2 - Dimensional Weight?

    All international shippers base their shipping rates on the greater of Actual Weight and Dimensional Weight. Actual Weight is the weight of the package when placed on a scale. Dimensional Weight is built on the weight and size of the package. Large items that have a low Actual Weight comparative to their size-- like pillows and lamp shades, will result in a larger Dimensional Weight. Some people refer to this as “volumetric weight.”

    Dimensional Weight is calculated by multiplying the dimensions of the item. Length multiplied by Width multiplied by Height, then dividing that total by the "DIM Factor." The industry standard DIM Factor is 139. So, the formula is:
    Dimensional Weight(chargeable pounds) = Length x Width x Height(inches) / 139

  3. 3 - Do I need to submit a USPS Form 1583?

    If you are a Gold Member, you are required to complete the USPS Form 1583. Bronze Members are not required to complete this form.

  4. 4 - How do I upgrade my Membership type?

    1. Sign in to your account.
    2. Browse to “My Account”.
    3. Select the link “Switch Membership Type” from the “My Account Settings” list of items.
    4. Follow the page instructions.
  5. 5 - How do I order from U.S. Companies?

    1. Contact your credit card company and add your ForwardIt Address as a secondary ship to or secondary billing address.
    2. When you buy from U.S. retailers, your ForwardIt shipping address will match your records on file with the credit card company.

    If your Credit Card Company does not deal with a secondary ship to or billing address, you can also use our Personal Shopper facility to purchase from U.S. retailers. With Personal Shopper, we purchase the merchandise for you and charge your credit card on file once the order has been completed.

  6. 6 - How do I place a Personal Shopper Order?

    1. Sign in to your account.
    2. Click on the Personal Shopper link at the top of the page.
    3. Tell us that who you're buying from. This can be an online retailer, or an auction site such as eBay, Yahoo Action, etc.
    4. Tell us how we should pay the seller. We will purchase the merchandise for you, using our US Credit card, our PayPal account, or by money order.
    5. Tell us what you want to buy. List the items, quantities, and descriptions that we need to complete the purchase.

    You will be limited to 20 items per seller for each order you placed. After your request submission, one of our Personal Shopper experts will complete the purchase. Your ForwardIt.com account is billed for the actual cost of the purchase with a Personal Shopper service fee.

    Once the merchandise reaches our distribution centre, it will be seen in your Inbox and be available for shipment to you as usual. The Personal Shopper Department is available by phone or email from Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.

  7. 7 - How frequently can you send me my merchandise and documents?

    With all memberships of ForwardIt.com, you have comprehensive flexibility with your shipment scheduling!

    When you start your ForwardIt.com membership, you will select your shipping preferences during the sign-up process. You can also state separate preferences for documents and merchandise.

  8. 8 - Shipping Options with your membership?

    Hold: We hold your merchandise until you convey us to ship. All ship requests are processed in the order that they are received and non-urgent ship requests may take up to 3 days to process. If you need your shipment treated the same day, please submit your request earlier to 2 pm Mon-Fri and select "Urgent." We will consider an Urgent Fee of between $5 and $20, depending on the time and day of week you submit the request.

    Weekly: We dispatch your merchandise once a week and you can also state the day of week.

    Biweekly: We dispatch your merchandise every other week.

    Monthly: We dispatch your merchandise once a month and if you like you can skip months as well.

  9. 9 - What couriers do you use to send my merchandise and documents?

    For express shipments, our primary couriers are DHL and UPS. Our system will choose the most efficient courier OR you can select your preferred carrier.
